Barnes & Noble Expands Its Rochester, NY Presence with New Store Opening

Rochester, NY – November 4^th, 2026

Barnes & Noble is pleased to announce the opening of its latest Rochester, NY bookstore on Wednesday, November 11^th. Located in the suburb of Henrietta, the new Rochester Barnes & Noble is situated in the large open-air shopping center of Market Square Plaza (660 Jefferson Road Suite 200, Rochester, NY 14623), in the former Party City space, next to Famous Footwear.

The new Henrietta Barnes & Noble is the latest addition to the Rochester area, joining bookstores in Pittsford, Greece, Webster and Victor. The bookstore will offer more than 15,000 square feet of books, alongside a curated selection of toys, games, magazines, vinyl, DVD’s, stationery, and more. The new Henrietta Barnes & Noble is one of five stores to open across New York state this year.

The Henrietta Barnes & Noble bookstore will officially open to the public at 9:00AM Eastern on Wednesday the 11^th, with local author Tim Probert cutting the ribbon and signing copies of their deluxe edition graphic novel, Lightfall: The Girl & the Galdurian. Costume Character Cat in the Hat will also join the festivities and host special story time events over the weekend.

The Henrietta bookstore is one of 60 new Barnes & Noble stores to open in 2026. Barnes & Noble now boasts over 735 bookstores, having been below 600 stores as recently as 2023. The design of the Henrietta store showcases the ambition of Barnes & Noble to create exceptional local bookstores that marry the best traditions of independent bookselling with the resources of the historic chain.

Barnes & Noble Premium and Rewards Members will earn double stamps on all purchases made between November 11^th and November 15^th. Customers who are not yet Members are encouraged to sign up and start earning stamps and rewards right away.

Everyone who visits the new Henrietta Barnes & Noble during the grand opening will have access to exclusive deals, like $50 off any NOOK device. Customers can also save 40% on all DVD, Blu-ray, and 4k Ultra HD movies.
