Barnes & Noble Opens New Store in Port St. Lucie

Author Grace Reilly to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Book Signing at the Grand Opening at 9AM on Wednesday, February 18^th, 2026

Port St. Lucie, FL – February 12, 2026  -Barnes & Noble is thrilled to announce the opening of its new Port St. Lucie, FL bookstore on Wednesday, February 18^th.

The new Barnes & Noble will offer more than 13,000 square feet of books, toys, games, magazines, gift items and more. The new Port St. Lucie, FL Barnes & Noble is located in Town Center at Lucie West (1745 St. Lucie W Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34986), in the former Party City space, next to Ulta.

The new Barnes & Noble bookstore will officially open to the public at 9AM Eastern on Wednesday the 18^th, with local author Grace Reilly cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her recent sports romance novel, Wicked Serve.

Barnes & Noble Premium and Rewards Members will earn double stamps on all purchases made at the new Barnes & Noble between February 18^th and 22^nd. Customers who are not yet Members are encouraged to sign up and start earning stamps and rewards right away.

Everyone who visits the new St. Lucie West Barnes & Noble during the grand opening will have access to exclusive deals, like $50 off any NOOK device. Customers can also save 40% on all DVD, Blu-ray, and 4k Ultra HD movies.

“Barnes & Noble is steadily expanding its presence in Florida, opening new stores in communities without their own bookstore, as well as replacing some of its aging stores with new ones,” said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. “The new Port St. Lucie bookstore will be followed next month by a new bookstore in Melbourne, with booksellers in both locations hard at work in crafting their beautiful new bookstores.”

Next month, Barnes & Noble will open a new store in Melbourne, FL, about 60 miles to the north of St. Lucie, as the bookseller continues its expansion. The new bookstore St. Lucie West will serve the growing community in Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie West.

Barnes & Noble is enjoying a period of tremendous growth as the strategy to hand control of each bookstore to its local booksellers has proven so successful. The bookseller is experiencing strong sales in its existing stores and has been opening many new stores after more than 15 years of declining store numbers.

Having fallen below 600 locations as recently as 2023, it now has over 700 bookstores. In 2025, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores in a single year than it had in the whole decade from 2009 to 2019. The bookseller will open over 60 new bookstores in 2026.
