Jason Stryker

Head of Real Estate and Development

Jason D. Stryker is Head of Real Estate and Development at Barnes & Noble, Inc. He is responsible for the company’s real estate functions including leasing, site development, construction, and lease administration.

Mr. Stryker joined Barnes & Noble in February 2025 after having spent more than 20 years working in the shopping center business executing and opening nearly 1,000 new and relocated stores in various roles.  This includes in-house real estate for retailers DICK’S Sporting Goods, Zumiez, rue21 and the BJ Alan Company, in addition to his early career roles in brokerage and in-house leasing capacities with George D. Zamias, Inc. and Zamias Services, Inc.     

Prior to joining Barnes & Noble, Mr. Stryker was Vice President, Real Estate at DICK’S Sporting Goods where he oversaw a part of approximately 900 stores including all Golf Galaxy stores, Going Going Gone!  in addition to supporting half of the full line DICK’S Sporting Goods and House of Sport stores.  During that time, he was instrumental in the growth of DICK’S House of Sport program – a large format sporting goods store similar to a department store, which became major anchors at some of the best enclosed shopping malls in the country. 

Mr. Stryker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate from the Smeal College of Business and a Master of Business Administration from the Black School of business, both part of The Pennsylvania State University.
