Carlo Pochintesta

Carlo Pochintesta was appointed Chief Information Officer in March 2019. As CIO, Mr. Pochintesta oversees Barnes & Noble’s BN.com website and NOOK eReader business, as well as the Company’s information technology, telecommunication networks and computer systems, including evaluating the Company’s overall technology resources and strategies.

Mr. Pochintesta has more than 25 years of IT experience in managing multi-billion-dollar public and private businesses across the retail industry, including companies like Rag & Bone Holdings LLC, Steve Madden, Gucci Group and Ann Taylor. Prior to Barnes & Noble, Mr. Pochintesta was Chief Information Officer at Rag & Bone for nearly five years, where he led all aspects of their technology enterprise, including IT strategy, budget planning, capital investments, service delivery and performance measurement.

Prior to Rag & Bone, Mr. Pochintesta was also the CIO for Steve Madden, where he managed all facets of their global IT operations including strategic planning, budgeting, and project and resource management.

Mr. Pochintesta holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Pace University in Pleasantville, NY.
