New York, NY – December 4, 2018 – Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the world’s largest retail bookseller, today announced a special holiday cookie contest for customers to share their favorite cookie stories and recipes with Barnes & Noble and a panel of nationally-renowned chefs and bakers. To coincide with National Cookie Day today, Barnes & Noble kicked off the My Cookie Story Contest to give entrants the chance to win $5,000 and to have a version of their cookie sold during the 2019 holiday season at Barnes & Noble Cafés nationwide.
“At Barnes & Noble we love stories, which is why we’re offering customers around the country the chance to share their favorite cookie stories and recipes with us this holiday season,” said Neil Strong, Vice President of Café Operations for Barnes & Noble. “We can’t wait to hear all the great stories of special cookies shared with families and friends through the years, and one winner will have a version of their cookie featured in our Cafés next holiday season.”
Participants are asked to submit their cookie recipe along with a story of 200-words or less, explaining where their favorite recipe came from and why it’s so important to them. Submissions to My Cookie Story Contest will be accepted at Barnes & Noble stores, or online at BN.com/mycookiestory. The winning entry will get a $5,000 prize, and a version of the cookie will be featured in Barnes & Noble’s 2019 holiday menu with partner Sweet Street Desserts. The winning entry will also be showcased on Barnes & Noble’s national social media channels.
The winner will be chosen by Barnes & Noble and its panel of nationally-renowned chefs and bakers. The panel includes:
